Bayanihan to Heal as One: Joint Resolution of Basic Sectors and Civil Society on Proposed Guidelines to Promote Whole of Society Approach in COVID-19 Response

Representing the 14 Basic Sectors including the Victims of Disaster and Calamities (VDC), the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) VDC Sectoral Council and Sectoral Representatives Council have submitted to the Office of the President, the IATF, NDRRMC, NIC COVID-19 and the concerned agencies its Joint Reoslution No. 2, s.2020, BAYANIHAN TO HEAL AS ONE WITH THE BASIC SECTORS AND CIVIL SOCIETY: PROPOSED GUIDELINES TO PROMOTE WHOLE OF SOCIETY APPROACH IN COVID19 RESPONSE.

NAPC VDC SC AND SRC have recognized that many of the recommendations contained in its Res. No. 1, s.2020 dated March 19, 2020 were responded to in the RA 11469 Bayanihan To Heal As One Act signed by the President on March 24, 2020 and further acted upon in the subsequent circulars and guidelines issued by the responsible government bodies and agencies. Thus, we wish to appreciate the efforts of the national government and all local governments in addressing the COVID-19 crisis and the impact of the ECQ.

We do hope that the recommendations in this resolution and proposed guidelines will help further improve the implementation of the policy and programs of the government in fighting COVID-19 and mitigating the impact of its measures.
