CALL FOR DONATIONS: COVID-19 RESPONSE
When it’s time to come closer.
When people distance themselves from one another, it is time to come closer and help each other.
ECOWEB is now accepting donations to help our communities to fight against this global crisis. This time, you can do more than staying at home. You can help the fight against the novel coronavirus or #COVID19 by being our partner in responding to different emergencies.
The impact of this pandemic has faced our entire communities to negative financial effects, limited access to basic services, lack of consumption to basic needs and the insufficient number of protective gear to our frontliners. The economic and social effect of this virus has extended, hence the need to speed up our actions.
Through this fundraising, it will provide aid to individuals specifically their day-to-day items and consumption needs, medical assistance and/or provision of personal protective equipment (PPEs) to our frontliners and other necessary support while on community quarantine.
Amid this enhanced community quarantine, ECOWEB finds the opportunities to join the fight against COVID-19 and its consequences.
• In Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, ECOWEB helped a tribal council distribute rice and groceries to its member families whose livelihood was hampered because of the ECQ.
• In Butuan City, ECOWEB helped and worked with an organization to produce and distribute safety shields to the front liners.
• In Agusan, ECOWEB provided rice and some food items to a community of Manobos who has to work back to their farms to secure themselves of food amid this pandemic.
• In Malabon, senior citizens received food packs.
• In Iligan City, ECOWEB provides extra income for IDPs by buying from them home-made face masks to give away to frontliners.
We can all take a step and provide much-needed support and assistance, especially to vulnerable groups and communities. Let us all be part of the local and national efforts to respond to this global emergency. #COVID19Response
Your Php 10.00 donation can buy a face mask for a frontliner who risks their life just to keep everybody safe. Your Php 30.00 can buy a face shield and your Php 40.00 can buy a kilo of rice for a family who has lost all its means to buy food. Whatever amount that is, you can make a difference.
