ECOWEB in partnership with Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) for the implementation of the project “Support to Peace and Normalization – Welfare Assistance to Vulnerable Sectors” conducted the Social Enterprise Management (SEM) and Development Trainings.
The trainings with components on social enterprise orientation, participatory feasibility study, and project development workshop were participated by the technical working group of the seven barangays in Marawi City namely Barangay Gadongan, Biabadamag, Basak Malutlut, East Basak, Emie Punod, Barrio Green, and Mipaga.
The activities serve as guides to the beneficiaries of the project in identifying their social enterprise considering the local resources from their communities and provide assistance upon the writing of their business proposal.
Carino V. Antequisa, resource speaker and ECOWEB’s program development expert, highlighted that one’s social enterprise must be sustainable and should essay writer provide services in the community and address emerging issues and concerns arising from the impact of the Marawi conflict.
This project has begun its implementation in August 2019 and continuously working on leading the implementation of the social enterprise grants of Php 400,000 supporting the recovery of the constituents from the crisis.
The SEM component as a revenue-generating business aims to support both the community’s economic, social, cultural and infrastructure development mainstreaming conflict sensitivity and peace-promoting to vulnerable sectors.
Other components of the project are peace-promoting and barangay development plan, alternative dispute resolution, culture of peace and health care services.
